The City of Charlottesville, the University of Virginia, and Perrone Robotics have partnered to consider how autonomous vehicles might impact the Charlottesville community in the near and long-term future. Dan River Basin Community Stakeholder Team

On February 2, 2014 between 30,000 and 39,000 tons of coal ash and approximately 24 to 27 million gallons of ash pond water from the Duke Energy Dan River Steam Station were released into the Dan River. As part of its response to this event, Duke Energy contracted with IEN to provide impartial process design and facilitation of a community Stakeholder Team to identify community concerns and seek community consensus for solutions that address the impacts of the coal ash release. Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Certificate

A new professional certificate is being developed to assist in the Bay cleanup effort. Local governments wish to know who they can trust to design and install BMPs that will qualify and count toward their TMDL load reductions goals. Others wish to raise the bar, so that landscape professionals become more knowledgeable about Bay-appropriate design and BMPs, in design, implementation, and maintenance. Chesapeake Bay Stakeholder Assessment

IEN is conducting an assessment of stakeholder experiences with Phase I and Phase II Watershed Implementation Plans (WIPs) developed by states and the District of Columbia as part of the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (Bay TMDL) accountability framework. George Washington National Forest Management Plan

(2010) The George Washington National Forest was developing its Management Plan for forests and working lands when two key stakeholders representing opposing interests of timber management and wilderness protection joined forces to try a different approach. Together, and with funding from other stakeholders, they hired IEN to design and facilitate an exploratory dialogue process. Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay: Chesapeake Bay Business Forum

(2014) IEN designed and facilitated the Chesapeake Bay Business Forum: Linking Business with the Bay, held in Richmond in March 2014. Attended by businesses of all sizes and types in the Bay watershed, the Forum was initiated and hosted by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.
