Crab Management Facilitation in Virginia and Maryland: Facilitated outreach and stakeholder involvement for the Chesapeake Bay Commission process over two years to evaluate the decline of the blue crab fishery and to develop a longterm bay-wide strategy to restore the ecological and ecnomic sustainability of the fishery. Developed a report for the Virginia Sea Grant to evaluate stakeholder perceptions and applications for the process.
Blue Crab Stakeholder Perspectives: Developed an analysis of the complex issues and different stakeholder perspectives involved in blue crab management conflict in the Chesapeake Bay. Published an report called, “The Commons Trap and Fishery Deliberations.”
Menhaden Fishery Analysis: Conducted a conflict assessment for the Virginia Sea Grant to determine whether issues surrounding the Menhaden fishery might be appropriate for a facilitated “round table” process of some kind. Published a report called, “The Menhaden Fishery Controversy: A Convening Analysis.”
